The Best Health and Fitness Quotes Ever, Part 2

And we're back, with this week's installment of excellent, powerful and very cool quotes about health and fitness (and more). You can read The Best Health and Fitness Quotes Ever, Part 1 by clicking here. Continuing the theme of Part 1, here are more quotes on the connection between health/strength/fitness and mind power, thinking ability and emotional well-being. Without further ado, here's today's batch:

“For physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body; it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong; that hardy spirits and tough minds usually inhabit sound bodies.” – Assassinated Former U.S. President John F. Kennedy

“Treat your body like a temple, not a woodshed. The mind and body work together. Your body needs to be a good support system for the mind and spirit. If you take good care of it, your body can take you wherever you want to go, with the power and strength and energy and vitality you will need to get there.” – the late great Jim Rohn

“Your body has to be in top condition. Your chess deteriorates as your body does. You can’t separate body from mind.” – Bobby Fischer, a grandmaster and former world chess champion

“When your body is used to training and you don’t train, you instantly recognize how awful you feel.
Funny thing is that those who don’t train feel like crud all the time – and they think that crud is their natural state. Pretty sad, huh.
Health and well-being, high energy and a calm, peaceful demeanor is your natural state.” – Matt Furey, World Champion martial artist, Bestselling Author, MattFurey.com

“Those who think they have not time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness.” – Edward Stanley

That's all for now folks. Another installment next week.

The Best Health and Fitness Quotes Ever, Part 1

Over the weekend I got this little idea to start a series of weekly posts here of some of the best quotes of truisms and advice on health, fitness and longevity that I have ever read and recorded... So here goes. I have a pretty extensive collection so I'm just going to post a few at a time.

I'm starting off with some powerful quotes, mainly from ancient times, about the mind-body connection: Physical health and strength = MENTAL Power...

“Mens Sana In Corpore Sano.” – Latin, translated: “A Sound Mind In A Sound Body.”

“To keep the body in good health is a duty... otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.” – Buddha

“It is exercise alone that supports the spirits, and keeps the mind in vigor.” – Marcus Cicero, 106-43 BC

“If you want to strengthen your mind and Spirit, you must strengthen your body.” – Saying from the Ninja and their predecessors the Shinobi Warriors

“Take care of your body, then the rest will automatically become stronger.” – Chuang Tzu, 370-301 BC

“The human body is the best picture of the human soul.” – Ludwig Wittgenstein

“One may go a long way after one is tired.” – French Proverb

“If you are going to win any battle, you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do... the body is never tired if the mind is not tired.” – General George S. Patton

...And my favourite:

“Take care of your body with steadfast fidelity. The soul must see through these eyes alone, and if they are dim, the whole world is clouded.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

P.S. If your body is in serious pain such as with Sciatica, Back Pain, Arthritis or some injury, your thinking is very likely to be "clouded", overly distracted by it, which will negatively affect the rest of your life too.
I suggest avoiding the easily-overdosed common painkillers you see on TV or hear from your doc (ain't saying no names) that categorically DO cause thousands of deaths annually, never mind injuries - And go with a 100% safe, all-natural pain reliever proven to be just as or more effective, that you can get FOR FREE: Click here to check it out - and if you would, come back to tell me how much it helps...
