TV Celebrity Dr. Jennifer Ashton Shatters Four Back Pain Myths [VIDEO]

I just came across a rare-as-rubies example of the lamestream I mean mainstream media actually putting out some genuinely useful information on back pain.

Dr. Jennifer Ashton, a well-known celebrity doctor, neatly debunked 4 of the great myths about back pain that mislead so many and ultimately keep back pain sufferers in pain needlessly.

However, she did miss one absolutely crucial element. My friend Jesse Cannone addresses this missing piece of the pain relief puzzle in his recent blog post:

Go check it out; I’m sure you’ll find Jesse’s insight eye-opening and give you the answers you need on how to enjoy real pain relief if you or a loved one is suffering from back pain.

101 Ways to End Back Pain and Sciatica

101 Ways to End Back Pain and Sciatica

If you’re at all like me, back pain sometimes rears its ugly head and bites you - usually at the worst possible time. I bend over to tie my shoe laces - and get a sharp twinge. You know the one I’m talking about. And then suddenly I have an aching back for days.

The worst part of dealing with back pain for me is actually not even the pain really; but the fact that it keeps me from doing the things I love to do. Things like working out; “playing” (aka working) on my business; or just having fun with my friends. I’m human and I’d be lying to you if I told you I was Superman and never got back pain too. Worse, I've watched my mother suffering from piriformis syndrome for years, which is what inspired me to research effective treatments and finally to create this website. Because I know that I and my mother weren’t the only ones suffering with these condtions out there. Untold millions deal with back pain and sciatica worldwide. In fact, over 50 million will experience back pain just in America alone this year.

Luckily, during my last episode of nagging back pain, I reached out to my good friend Jesse and he graciously shared a tip with me that was so powerful that I had about an 80% improvement in just 90 minutes!

I’m not going to try and explain it to you myself because I’m not the back pain expert - That’s Jesse’s area of expertise. He’s just full of little tips and tricks from his many years of experience that actually help people get significant, even total pain relief almost instantly, as in my case. Better yet these are things you can do yourself instead of paying some serious money to a specialist to work on your back pain for you. Or worse - resorting to potentially dangerous and unreliable surgery. You just have to try them and see.

I asked him to tell you what he taught me so he put together a quick little presentation to tell you all about it right here: 1 Simple Trick To End Back Pain For Good ~ Click Here

If you’ve read this far then you probably get these nagging pains in your back too, or in your glutes (buttocks) shooting down into your thighs in the case of piriformis syndrome. Or maybe you have a chronic pain condition that you think might turn out to be permanent. I assure you, you don’t have to live with either occasional or constant back pain or sciatica. The truth is though there is no one umbrella back pain cure that works for everybody. There are tons of strategies and treatments available (but only known by a select few experts.) You have to try several until you find the one that works for you like the one in Jesse's presentation worked for me: 101 Ways To Get Back Pain Relief ~ Click Here

Don’t let back pain keep you from doing the things you love.

Jesse has helped over 200,000 worldwide since he co-founded The Healthy Back Institute in 2002.  He has been featured on NBC4, Spine Health, and many other popular shows teaching people how to get permanent relief from back pain and sciatica by identifying the true underlying cause of it in each individual case.

Please, for your own sake, check out his short presentation and try out the strategies he shares in it. Afterwards I’d love if you would come back and leave a comment to let me know which one or more of them worked for you. Click here and watch as 101 Back Pain Relief Tricks are revealed to you.

5 Tips For Back Pain Relief - A No-Cost Treatment For Back Pain

Millions of people suffer from back pain unnecessarily when there is actually a very simple solution, according to Jesse Cannone, certified personal trainer and back pain specialist and co-founder of The Healthy Back Institute.  “Unfortunately, many people are led to believe that back pain is normal and we're all supposed to experience it... well, thankfully, that’s not the case. Eliminating back pain is not nearly as difficult as most people think or are led to believe... it can actually be easy!” says Cannone.

Here’s the simple system of treatment for back pain that MUST be followed if you are looking for back pain relief that is real, long-term, and lasting:

1. Identify the cause – nearly every treatment for back pain people receive only focus on the symptoms and the health care professionals zoom in on only the problem area. The real key in eliminating back pain is to find out exactly what’s causing the problem... and most of the time it’s not even the back!

2. Address both the cause and the symptom – the best approach is a combination of treating the symptoms for quick pain relief while also addressing the underlying cause for long term pain relief.

3. Be aware – many people suffering from back pain are not in tune with their bodies and during their treatment for back pain they do not realize what is working and what is not. In order to achieve long-term relief you have to understand how your body works, what’s causing the problem, and what changes have to be made to correct it that will work for YOU.

4. Consistent Focused Action - achieving success in anything requires consistency and focused action. Most people with back pain won't make the time to work on their problem each day... instead they take painkillers which mask the pain and allow them to cause more damage while they continue with their life.

5. Don't do what doesn't work - we already know that most traditional treatments for back pain don't work.... why waste your time, energy, and money? The ultimate key to eliminating back pain is to identify the true cause of the pain and then address it with a combination of treatments to treat both the cause and symptoms. Over 80% of all back pain is caused by muscle imbalances... NOT a lack of painkillers or surgery! Find out what's going on in your body and take action.

Jesse has a new book out now aptly titled, “The 7-Day Back Pain Cure”. In it he expands on these 5 tips and much, much more, literally teaching a method of treatment for back pain that can be tailor-made to YOUR unique case. The real good news though is: He's giving it away for FREE! For now anyway... PLUS, for every Free Book he gives away, Jesse is going to make a donation to either Habitat For Humanity or Kiva.org! Whichever one you tell him to.

If and only if you're tired of being jerked around in circles with useless treatments for back pain, dangerous surgeries that don't work, and poisonous pain drugs, then go to the book page here and get a real book by a real expert with the systematic cure that will give you permanent back pain relief.

Simple Sciatic Stretches For Fast Pain Relief

(Obviously she does NOT :-) )

A while back I posted a video demonstrating one of the best sciatic stretches out there. Well, I've found another video, courtesy of back pain/sciatica expert, personal trainer and co-founder of The Healthy Back Institute Jesse Cannone, showing some more advanced - and for some people - even more effective sciatic stretches. You can easily perform them anywhere you can comfortably lie down - Use somewhere with a mat or carpet or just the bare floor; at home, at the gym; whatever works for you.

The tension release provided by these sciatica stretches will provide great pain relief within a short time... OK here's that cool little video now:

These stretches are of course treating the symptom not the cause(s) - but in any case these *will* help greatly. I recommend doing both the sitting sciatic stretches in the previous video here AND these lying down variations but at different times in the day as convenient for your schedule. Start slow, pay close attention to good form, and above all listen to your body - it'll tell you how fast to progress.

Do you want to learn what REALLY causes conditions like sciatica, the many types of back pain, neck pain, etc? Would you love to know HOW to fix the real problem and eliminate the pain you or a loved one suffers with once and for all? Then claim your Free Copy of the breakthrough book, The 7-Day Back Pain Cure by the world expert himself Jesse Cannone.

I'm going through this book right now and I'm convinced it really is the back pain relief and sciatic pain relief Answer millions have been hoping for. Now you can discover the exact, easy ways to wipe out sciatic pain in the comfort of your own home.

Right now, make sure to try those sciatic stretches - They'll work if you work them...

Is Your Job Killing Your Back?

If you’ve ever suffered from one or the other of the various forms of back pain or sciatica, the problem most likely has nothing to do with your back.

Let me explain...

In today’s world, our bodies are constantly contorted into positions that are abnormal for how our bodies are designed to function.

Whether it’s working at your desk for 8... 9... 10 hours a day, commuting to work or relaxing and watching television, your body isn’t meant to stay in the “sitting” position for very long.

What’s the result? Your body becomes misaligned… specifically your hips.

After a prolonged period of time, your hips start to pull on the tendons and ligaments that connect it to your back. And this pulling is what causes the sharp or dull back pain that people the world over, but Americans in particular, suffer from.

If you were to go to a regular doctor, you’d probably be told to do some stretches to “fix” your back.

But there’s a problem with this supposed "solution".

Most of these stretches are designed to loosen your joints. And the key factor that these doctors don’t know about is that you don’t want loose joints. You want them to be tight. Tight joints mean stable and strong joints. And help prevent injury in the first place.

That’s why I recommend the following stretches to everyone I help. They help realign your hips to relieve stress on your back, but also works to help keep your joints nice and tight to help avoid injury in the future.

Here are some of those stretches from my friends over at the Healthy Back Institute that you'll want to perform daily to avoid back pain:
  • Shoulder Stretch: You need to stretch and develop these muscles because they are very susceptible to injury. And tight shoulder muscles contribute to back pain and neck pain, especially if your head and shoulders droop forward.

How To: Stand in an open doorway. Raising your arm to a 90-degree angle with palm facing out, press your hand and shoulder against the wall and doorjamb. You should feel the wall against your armpit. Slowly increase the tension as you push forward. Hold for a 10 count. Then repeat with the other arm.
  • Hip Flexors Stretch: You need to do this stretch, particularly if you sit all day at work. Sitting all day puts pressure on the hip flexor muscles. This is a major cause of lower back pain. Doing hip flexor stretches like the one below several times a week will prevent this kind of low back pain. This is one of the best lower back pain exercises I've ever come across:

How To: Stand in a modified runner stance, with right foot forward and left foot back, feet flat on floor. Put your hands on your hips and keep your back and hips in straight alignment. Push forward with your hips, while maintaining your erect posture. Slowly, push your hips forward only until you feel a comfortable level of tension. Hold for a 10 count. Switch sides by reversing your leg stance and repeat.

Give these a try. They work for me. Start off doing them every other day and go from there. Consistency is the key. (It always is.)

By the way, I have another blog post with a video revealing a few tried-and-true stretches that do wonders for sciatic pain sufferers as well. You can check it out by clicking here.
There are other steps you can take to overcome back pain and stiffness naturally, too.

In fact, Jesse Cannone – a top fitness trainer and co-founder of the Healthy Back Institute – has written a book called The 7-Day Back Pain Cure. It shows you how to get to the root of back pain problems and fix them without drugs, injections, or surgery. It also suggests numerous measures you can take to prevent back pain in the future.

It's not an eBook or anything like that... it's a real book and it's for sale on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble - but don't go buy it because if you go to his website right now you can get a **free** copy. You just pay a small shipping fee...

But it gets even better... a portion of your shipping fee is donated to one of two great charities: Habitat for Humanity or Kiva.org - you choose.

Confused About Back Pain?

When it comes to back pain, many people are confused. One person says do one thing, your doctor says do something different, and your friends say to try something else.
So today, I'd like to end the confusion with a question I recently received from a subscriber...

Question:
“I've spent hundreds of dollars trying to get rid of my back pain over the past few years. I've wasted my money on all kinds of gadgets, doctor visits, bulky equipment and pain pills.

I'm about to throw in the towel. My doctors say I just need a few more visits, so I go a few more times.
The pain continues.
I buy a machine online which says my pain will go away after using it.
The pain continues.
Everything I try, the pain continues.
I'm desperate, and hoping you have some kind of resource you can point me to that will help.”

My Response:
Thanks for the question. And thankfully I think I can help!
There's a breakthrough book on back pain out now by a great guy I know – Jesse Cannone. He's the owner and lead expert of the Healthy Back Institute and is the ONLY guy I trust when it comes to getting rid of any pain I'm having. His book has already touched the lives of over 150,000 worldwide.
Best part is – he's actually giving his book away on his website right now.

Here's why I love his book, The 7 Day Back Pain Cure...

Most people try to sell you whatever their latest gadget or widget claims to help. Most doctors try to help, but as you've probably noticed... only give you temporary relief.
In Jesse's book, he explains WHY that is. Now I'm not the back pain expert like he is, so here's the short version:

Pain develops in your body through several sources. Some of those sources include the diet you're eating, your mental health, how much stress you're under, and other lifestyle factors.
But the one thing most people don't understand is how much the muscle imbalances in your body create the pain you're feeling.
This is something you've probably never heard before, but Jesse explains it all in his book. And hey... if nothing else is working... why not give the book a read? It's pretty short, and very readable. It only took me a few hours to finish it and it absolutely gave me the keys to handling my own pain issues.

Here are a few more reasons I LOVED his book.
#1 – Because his philosophy is based on a balanced approach, if you follow his advice you'll also notice that losing weight becomes much easier, you'll be happier, and even have more energy.

#2 – I don't know about you, but I hate reading boring books that seem to go on forever. I was shocked at how fast and easy I was able to read Jesse's book, because it was written in a very reader-friendly style.

#3 – At the end of the book, Jesse actually gives you his suggestion for WHICH back pain treatment will work best for YOU, depending on the condition you're suffering from. This section in itself is worth its weight in gold!

Anyway, all I can say is that I really hope you check it out. It's free, and it's a great book.

Are Your Cells Starving For Oxygen? The Power Of Anti Inflammatory Enzymes

Do you take Tylenol or Advil to help with headaches and those everyday nagging pains?

Your doctor will probably never tell you this, but when you take common pain relievers you’re creating a new problem...

Pain pills like Advil and Tylenol work by reducing the inflammation that causes your pain, but they do it by hi-jacking your body’s natural ability to heal.

Instead of letting your body isolate the injured area with scar tissue and allowing your body’s natural inflammation fighters to go to work, pain pills short-circuit the process and force your body to put down layer after layer of scar tissue.

It’s all the extra scar tissue that blocks blood flow and chokes off the red blood cells that deliver oxygen. Take enough of these pills and you starve your cells for oxygen.

But you can wipe out pain and inflammation naturally... without drugs.

You can get that same “back to normal” feeling no matter what’s causing your pain. You can relieve everyday pains as easily as more serious problems like chronic joint and arthritis pain.

And here’s the kicker: This natural pain reliever is something your body already makes on its own.

Let me explain.

Years ago, a medical doctor from Columbia University discovered that when the body was reacting to pain, the bodies of younger adults responded by flooding the painful area with something called “proteolytic enzymes.

That’s why your body was so strong and resilient back in your 20s... and more to the point, PAIN FREE.

But here’s the problem. As you get older, your body’s supply of these inflammation-fighting enzymes drops dramatically.

That means the older you get, the harder it is to get rid of your pain.

Now here’s the good news. You can take more of these “proteolytic enzymes” whenever you want. And they work just as well as pain pills... and in some cases, even better.

My friend and colleague, Jesse Cannone is the founder of the Healthy Back Institute. He’s helped over 165,000 people in 85 countries get lasting pain relief without drugs. And when he showed me the research on these pain-fighting enzymes, I was impressed.

Proteolytic enzymes have a natural anti-inflammatory effect and silence minor everyday aches and pains, all the way up to the more stubborn pain you get from arthritis, bad joints and chronic back problems.

It’s a safe option, too. You never face the risk of side effects.

Enzymes are well researched and have a long-standing track record. Here are just a few of the published results:

A study published in the Journal of Medicine, Science, Sports and Exercise found that “proteolytic enzymes have therapeutic effects in the treatment of inflammation and soft tissue injuries.”

Another study from the Institute of Cancer Research in Vienna found that, “a combination of proteolytic enzymes and herbs were effective in treating rheumatoid arthritis.”

When I talked to Jesse, he told me stories of his clients getting fast, effective relief from his enzyme formula called Heal-n-Soothe™.

Here are a few of their letters:

“As a pharmacist with a keen interest in natural supplements I can safely say I've seen it all. But for patients with pain who are looking for an answer outside of dangerous prescription medications, I have only a handful of recommendations. Heal-n-Soothe™ is on that short list.
It's not only as effective as prescription anti-inflammatories, but is much safer. And, unlike other supplements on the market, Heal-n-Soothe™ really is free of any fillers or colorants. It truly is all natural.
The point is this: if you're sitting on the fence about other options to treat your pain you owe it to yourself to give Heal-n-Soothe™ a fair shot. You'll be happy you did.”
-- Dr. Curtis Alexander, Registered Pharmacist, Montana

“WOW! Huge difference… I stopped taking painkillers!”

“All I can say is a big WOW and thank you. I have only been taking it for 4 or 5 days, but have noticed a huge difference. I stopped taking my strong painkillers, which I was taking every day and at the full limit allowed. I feel 'almost' normal again.”

-- Angela Jaggs, England, UK

“Heal-n-Soothe™ gave me a new PAIN FREE life!”
“Just a note to tell you how much your Heal-n-Soothe™ has helped me in just a week.  It is working very well. I have a crooked spine and sciatic nerve problems. Your product has given me a whole new life that is PAIN FREE. I can actually golf now. It has made a big difference in my life. Thank You... Thank you !!!!!”
-- Sandra Marginet, Michigan

You can get the same kind of fast, drug-free relief Jesse’s patients get, without spending a dime.

As a reader of my blog, Jesse is offering you a FREE bottle of Heal-n-Soothe™ with no strings attached. All you have to do is click HERE and give him your address.

Here’s the only catch: Jesse gave me a limited supply of Heal-n-Soothe™ so I urge you to take advantage of his generous offer RIGHT NOW.

Heal-n-Soothe™ relieves arthritis and back pain, and comforts sore muscles and joints. It also helps you recover quickly from a workout, a round of golf or even a long day shopping.

This is one of the few non-drug pain relievers that actually works, and I believe it can really help you.

I highly recommend you get your FREE bottle and feel the difference for yourself.

Bodybuilding Sins That Cause Back Pain & Missed Workouts - Rest, Recovery & Injury Prevention

(Courtesy of Jesse Cannone, CFT, CPRS)

Welcome to article number five in our 5-part series “Bodybuilding Sins That Cause Back Pain and Missed Workouts”. In this article we are going to cover some basic, yet powerful training principles that are often overlooked and are responsible for nearly all bodybuilding injuries...

If you missed the previous articles, you can read them by clicking on the links below.

Here's a breakdown of the articles to look for:
Article #3 - Targeted Stretching
Article #4 - Targeted Exercises
Article #5 - Rest, Recovery, and Injury Prevention (Below)

Article #5 - Rest, Recovery, and Injury Prevention

Many of the injuries that bodybuilders suffer from could be easily prevented just by allowing the body enough time to rest...

While most bodybuilders dread hearing the word “rest”, many fail to realize that there is far more to rest than just avoiding overtraining. When you perform a tough workout you not only stress that muscle or muscle group, you also place stress on the cardiovascular, neuromuscular and components of the immune system...

For example, many bodybuilders will train their chest 2-3 times a week and spend an hour or more performing dozens of exercises just for the pecs...

While this may sound ok to some, when you add in the stress of other workouts it can quickly add up to too much stress in one or more ways. I hear bodybuilders all the time say “I let my body rest by splitting up my workouts” and “I worked chest yesterday so today I'll train my back”... that's NOT rest!

When you train your back, your chest still gets worked, stressed and it also slows down your body's ability to recover from stress and repair damage from previous workouts...

So don't kid yourself and think that you can train this way over the long term... it may take years or just a few weeks, but sooner or later your body will break down!

Let me give you a real life example from my experience...

I, like nearly every single bodybuilder out there, created muscle imbalances unknowingly by following the workouts recommended in all the books, magazines, etc...

I trained 4, 5 and sometimes even 6 days a week and thought that I was resting enough by splitting my workouts... to make a long story short, after just a few years I had tendonitis in both triceps because I worked chest, tri's and shoulder too often, too intensely and didn't balance out my training...

I also had lower and middle back pain, knee problems and IT band tendonitis because my lower body workouts weren't balanced... I spent too much time doing heavy squatting too often and neglected important muscles...

These injuries stayed with me for months, years and I still can have an occasional flare up if I don't stay consistent with a balanced training program. I was able to create all this damage by the age of 22... I am now 28 and will have to spend the rest of my life trying to prevent these old injuries from coming back and causing more pain and problems...

Don't do what I did! And if you already have, you better act fast and take a serious look at your training and your goals because if you don't, you will spend the rest of your life in pain and frustrated by all the injuries, big and small.

So here's my...

Step 1. Rest and Recovery
The first thing you need to do is REST! And no, I don't mean take a day or two off... I mean no workouts for at least a week or more... you need to give your body a chance to reduce the inflammation before you can begin work on eliminating or correcting the cause of the problem.

You may also want to use things like a heating pad, hot tub or massage to help reduce the inflammation and speed up the healing and recovery...

The next thing you need to do is find out which muscle imbalances have created your injury or are causing your pain and work towards correcting them... You can do this quickly and easily by performing physical assessments in which you are looking for strength and flexibility imbalances in all opposing muscle groups.

You can do these assessments yourself and they are covered in our bestseller video program, the Lose The Back Pain System, that over 60,000 people in over 100 countries have used to get their lives back. http://sciaticstretches.blogspot.com/lose_back_pain

In order to correct a muscle imbalance, you need to increase the flexibility and range of motion in the muscles that are too tight and causing a problem.

As we discussed in the previous articles, you have got to know what muscles NEED to be stretched before you start stretching. General stretching may or may not help... it may even make things worse! You have got to target the right areas and the only way to ensure that you are, is to do assessments and find out.

The other major step in correcting muscle imbalances is to strength the weak muscles that are being overpowered by the strong and tight opposing muscle(s).

The same is also true for strengthening... you have to make sure that you choose the right exercises and the only way to know for sure is through assessments... don't use guesswork when choosing exercises!

The key to long term pain relief and injury prevention is to consistently monitor your progress and adjust your program... For example, as you work on correcting and preventing muscle imbalances the strength and flexibility of your muscles will change and therefore, you must then re-assess and change your program and workouts accordingly.

You will typically see changes in your strength, flexibility and bio-mechanics in as little as 2-4 weeks so I recommend that you re-assess yourself at least every 4-6 weeks.

So there you have it... 5 simple steps that you can take right now to work on eliminating any pain or injuries you currently have AND make sure you never create any new ones to deal with in the future.

Following these steps will not only help you eliminate aches, pains and injuries and it will also allow you to train more intensely and productively to get you the results you want.

Hope you enjoyed and benefited from this article series and we look forward to hearing of your success.

The Top 5 Causes of Back Pain, Neck Pain and Sciatic Pain

One of the reasons so many people struggle with back pain and all the many variations of it, is because the majority of the treatments recommended by doctors don’t address the main causes of the pain…

So I wanted to make sure that you know what the most common causes are and how to address them… because it’s highly unlikely you’ll ever hear about any of this from your doctor… Ok, here goes…

Top 5 Causes of Back Pain, Neck Pain and Sciatic Pain

1. Excess Stress / Negative Beliefs
Yes, this is #1 on the list and while many people doubt or question it, excess stress and negative beliefs are what keep most people in pain.

For example, many people get some relief from physical treatments, but can never seem to get complete or lasting relief… and that’s because the the mind is keeping the body from healing completely.
Don’t underestimate the power of the mind… You can learn more about how stress, emotions and beliefs cause pain from the "Mind-Body" category articles on the page when you click here.

2. Muscle Imbalances
Imbalances in our muscles create what we call dysfunctions… Basically, the muscles pull your body out of alignment (not just your spine) and your body is forced to function like this and eventually it breaks down.
Muscle imbalances are the biggest “physical” cause of back-related conditions and pain (and many other ailments also like foot pain, knee pain, hip pain, etc.)

The good news is, identifying and correcting (it’s really more about improving) your muscle imbalances is pretty easy… you just have to know which imbalances you have and the right combination of corrective exercises and stretches…

This is exactly what we help you to do in our Lose the Back Pain SystemTens of thousands of people have used this simple system to eliminate their pain… and many of these people had struggled for years or even decades before trying our system.

You can get either the DVD version or the ONLINE version… and when you order the DVD version, you also get instant access to the online version as well… For now anyway.

Picture this… you wake up tomorrow morning feeling rested, you get out of bed feeling less stiff and with no pain… You go about your day feeling great and doing all the things you haven’t been able to do for weeks, months or years…

Yes, it IS possible… and I promise that if you USE the system you too will see significant improvements… better sleep… improved flexibility… increased strength… increased energy… less or no pain… and the list goes on and on.

Ok, now for the 3 other causes…

3. Spinal Compression / Torsion
Another major physical cause of back related conditions and pain is, spinal compression and torsion. The muscle imbalances pull your spine out of alignment and create excess curvature and this places increased pressure on the discs…

Then you add to it some torsion (twisting of the spine) and it gets even worse. The combination of the uneven and excessive compression and the torsion wreak havoc on the discs… causing them to bulge or herniate.

Again there is some good news… not only can discs heal, but you can undo or reduce the excessive compression and torsion by addressing your muscle imbalances and by decompressing the spine… This can be done with devices like an inversion table, the Nubax or it can be performed by a physical therapist or chiropractor.

4. Trigger Points
Often responsible for much of the undiagnosed pain people experience, trigger points are a major factor when it comes to back, neck and sciatic pain…

Trigger points are complex and there are many things that contribute to their development… and to make it worse, they often cause pain in other parts of the body. For example, a trigger point in the gluteal can cause pain in the lower leg.

The good news is, they are also easy to locate and treat yourself. You can learn more about trigger points and how to get rid of them at: http://sciaticstretches.blogspot.com/trigger-pain

5. Nutritional Imbalances
Yes, what you eat can help you heal or it can keep you in pain. Not only are there specific foods that create inflammation, but imbalances in minerals and nutrients are a major factor…

For example, you can have too much calcium and not enough magnesium and this can create calcification (stenosis, bone spurs, etc)… Keep in mind this is just one example… there are many others.

So here’s a quick list of foods to avoid:
- Sugar
- Wheat
- Dairy
- Artificial flavors / colors

And here are some foods/nutrients to eat more of:
- Omega-3 Fatty Acids (fish or supplement)
- Spices (Ginger, Tumeric)
- Antioxidants (vitamin C, selenium, quercetin)
- Vitamin D
